Vehicle driver involved in accident manages to escape, police trying to trace him
Jamshedpur: In a tragic accident, an unidentified vehicle dashed against a woman riding a Scooty. The woman died on the spot. The driver of the vehicle, however, managed to escape with the vehicle.
The police sent the dead body of the woman to MGMCH. The deceased has been identified as Deepa Kaur of Gol Pahadi area. She was 35.
The family members of the deceased were informed by the police. According to information received, the deceased was going to her office when an unidentified vehicle dashed against her Scooty near Burmamines BOC Gases.
The police are trying to trace out the vehicle involved in the accident as well as the driver.
It may be added that only 2 days back, a person named Bapi Mahato too was killed in a road accident near R D Tata Gol Chakkar.
The number of road accidents had come down during the coronavirus lockdown period. Once again the number of road accidents in the city are rising steadily.
