Jamshedpur students demonstrate against Arnab Goswami’s arrest

Jamshedpur: City student organisations too have now started coming out in support of Republic TV’s Chief Editor Arnab Goswami. Akhil Jharkhand Chhatra Sangh today not only protested against Arnab Goswami’s arrest by wearing black badges, but also demonstrated at Sakchi Gol Chhakar.

A large number of students belonging to Akhil Jharkhand Chhatra Sangh fold today held a demonstration at Sakchi Gol Chakkar and shouted slogans ins support of Arnab Goswami and against his arrest.

The students opposed the action of Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government and said that the police have arrested an honourable journalist of the country like a terrorist. They said that an already closed case has been re-opened just to arrest and intimidate him.

They alleged that his family members were also misbehaved with and this is very condemnable.

The students also demanded that Arnab Goswami be released immediately and suitable action be taken against those who have been harassing him.

Earlier, Jamshedpur Journalists and various other organisations had also demonstrated in support of Arnab Goswami in the city.
