District police to launch intensive 14-day drive against crime, hooch and drugs

DIG Rajeev Ranjan Singh holds meeting with police officers, issues instructions

Jamshedpur: The DIG of Kolhan Rajeev Ranjan Singh held an imprtant crime review meeting with all the police officers of East Singhbhum on Monday.

The DIG has issued instructions to all the officers-in-charge of the district to carry out an intense drive against illegal drugs and liquor business in the district.

He also said that if any information is received about any illegal trade in drugs or hooch from any area then the responsibility would lie with the officer-in-charge of the concerned police station.

He said that the district police have also issued WhatsApp numbers for information and tip-off by general public.

He said that anyone who has any information about illegal liquor and drugs business should inform the police on these numbers.

He said that anti-crime checking drive too would be launched in the district on a big scale.

The police officers who participated in the meeting included SSP Dr. M Tamil Vanan, City SP Subash Chandra Jat, all Dy Sas and oficers-in-charge of different police stations.
