Corona claims 1 more life in Jamshedpur on Friday, total deaths 335

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus infection has claimed one more life in Jamshedpur taking the total death toll in the city to 335. The deceased was a 40-year-old resident of Dhalbhumgarh. He was admitted in TMH on October 1.

According to official data, 156 corona patients were cured and discharged on Friday in the district. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 12,887 in the district, while the district still has 1,549 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The number of active cases in the district has come down a bit. At one time the number of active cases in the district had reached around 3000 and this had created a crisis of beds in the city hospitals. However, the numbers have ebbed a little during the last few weeks.

However, experts feel that the numbers may again soar in the district if the social distancing measures are not followed strictly during Durga Puja celebrations.
