Coronavirus takes 8 more lives in Jharkhand on Friday, total death toll 729

Ranchi: Coronavirus has taken 8 more lives in Jharkhand on Friday. With this, the total death toll in the state due to Covid-19 has reached 729.

According to official data, on Friday 8 more persons have died, while 736 new positive cases of corona infection have been detected from different parts of the state. With this, the total number of infections in the state has reached 85,400.

In all, the state has tested 2,32,0493 samples till Friday in different districts. Out of these 84,400 have tested positive, while 73,428 have been cured and discharged in different parts of the state.

For now, the state has only 11,249 active cases of coronavirus infection. On Friday itself, 967 persons have been cured and discharged from different hospitals of the state.

Deaths have been a major concern for the state. East Singhbhum district remains the most affected district in the state both in terms of number of deaths as well as new cases.
