Jamshedpur: Radheshyam Jawanpuria, the former president of Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Sammelan, Sakchi unit died in TMH on Sunday. He was 72.
He was admitted into TMH with breathing difficulty and fever at around 11 a.m. He died after a few hours.
The family members are not happy with the treatment he got. They claim that late Radheshyam Jawanpuria had called them on phone to say that things were not very good in the isolation ward.
They claimed that after not receiving phone calls for a long time, when the family members reached the hospital, they were told that he had died.
The president of Marwari Mahila Manch, Jamshedpur unit, Seema Jamalpuria, said: “There may have been negligence behind my father-in-law’s death. The hospital management also refused to hand over the dead body. The dead body would be given over to the family only if the Covid-19 test is negative.”
Late Radheshyam Jawanpuria was a well-known personality and was also the general secretary of Sakchi Bajar Durga Puja Committee.
