All city scribes to wear black badges on Thursday to protest ‘attack on press freedom’

Jamshedpur: The vindictive action of Maharashtra government and his barbaric arrest in connection with a re-opened case has drawn fierce condemnation and opposition from all sections of people all over the country.

Here in Jamshedpur too, a large number of journalists from print and electronic media demonstrated against the action against Republic TV Chief Editor Arnab Goswami and demanded that the Maharashtra government release him immediately.

The demonstrating journalists were holding placards. They said that the inhuman action against Arnab Goswami will go down in the history of the country as a ‘black day’.

They said that if the Maharashtra government had any complaint against journalism of Republic India, then it should have raised the issue before a constitutional forum or the Press Council of India.
