Jamshedpur: Coronavirus infection caused no death on Sunday in Jamshedpur and the total death toll for the district remained at 342. However, 20 new positive cases were detected in the district, taking the total number of infections in the district to 15,267.
According to official data, a total of 2,46,246 samples have been collected in Esat Singhbhum district. Out of these, only 15,267 samples have tested positive, while 2,30,979 samples have tested negative.
On Sunday itself, 20 new cases were detected taking the total number of infections to 15,267. However, 49 patients were also cured and discharged, taking the total number of discharged patients to 13,734 in the district.
For now, East Singhbhum district has 1,191 active coronavirus infection cases.
East Singhbhum remains the worst-affected district of Jharkhand as far as coronavirus infections are concerned.
