JAMSHEDPUR – A new car parked on the roadside at Ghoda Chowk in Jugsalai suddenly caught fire on Monday.

The vehicle was standing near the road. It transformed into a ball of fire rapidly. However, the exact cause remains under investigation.

Local residents witnessed panic in the area. People rushed to move nearby parked cars immediately. Moreover, they feared the flames would spread.

Several vehicles stood close to the burning car. Owners shifted them hurriedly to safety. In addition, crowds gathered at the spot quickly.

Authorities received information about the incident. A fire brigade vehicle rushed to Ghoda Chowk. Meanwhile, the fire continued burning intensely.

The car burned completely before help arrived. It reduced to ashes within minutes. On the other hand, firefighters could only control remaining flames.

The new vehicle was worth lakhs. The owner suffered total financial loss. Furthermore, no insurance claim process has started yet.

The incident occurred in Jugsalai police station area. Local police reached the spot later. Additionally, they began preliminary investigation into the matter.

Similar car fire incidents have occurred before. Jamshedpur has witnessed several such cases recently. However, this incident happened in broad daylight.

Forensic experts will examine the burnt remains. They will determine the fire’s origin point. Moreover, technical faults or other causes will be investigated.

Traffic movement was affected temporarily at Ghoda Chowk. Police managed the crowd and vehicle flow. In contrast, normal movement resumed after fire control.

Recent similar incidents include fires in Govindpur and other areas. Vehicle owners are advised regular maintenance checks. Additionally, fire safety measures need attention across the city.
