JAMSHEDPUR – Junior doctors at MGM Hospital have launched a one-day hunger strike in solidarity with the protesting doctors in Kolkata.

The strike follows a week-long hunger strike by doctors in Kolkata after an incident at Raj Hospital, which led to three doctors being admitted to the ICU.

Despite earlier assurances from the West Bengal government following a Supreme Court intervention, the demands of the protesting doctors have not been met, prompting the renewed strike.

The junior doctors at MGM Medical College have expressed their support, stating that they are also striking to demand action.

As a result of the protest, health services at MGM Hospital have been severely impacted, causing significant inconvenience to patients seeking treatment.
