SAFE Club organises a webinar on Road safety for School Children

Jamshedpur: A webinar was organised by the ‘Safety Awareness for Everyone’ Club (SAFE Club) on Road Safety for School Children on February 6, 2021 as a part of month-long National Road Safety Week Celebrations (January 18-February 17, 2021).

SAFE Club Chairperson Mrs Ruchi Narendran graced the event as the chief guest. This webinar was attended by more than 475 students along with the Jamshedpur SAFE Club coordinators.

Mrs Ruchi Narendran welcomed the participants and set the context of the webinar, besides emphasising the importance of Road Safety awareness for school children.

Mr Amitabh Singh, Head Safety Rail & Road from Tata Steel Jamshedpur, along with his team, gave valuable insights about Road Safety and necessary safety precautions.

Mr Singh provided the latest statistics related to Road incidents of India & Jharkhand, besides giving safety tips and importance of safe behaviour to the participants.

Furthermore, he answered the questions asked by curious students, during the interactive Question & Answers segment. Road safety videos were screened during the event to spread awareness on the issue.

SAFE Club has been actively involved in enhancing awareness of citizens on various safety related topics by regularly conducting sessions on road safety, school safety, domestic safety and fire safety, as aligned with its core belief of instilling safety awareness among youth.

In an effort to reinforce the importance of safety amongst the youth of Jamshedpur, SAFE Club has organised Safety Melas, several events like rallies, workshop and seminars on road safety. Various SAFE Clubs are active in Jamshedpur schools.
