Mango Municipal Corporation Intensifies Anti-Larva Drive to Combat Dengue

Daily anti-larva spraying and fogging instructed to prevent dengue outbreaks.

Officials urge residents to prevent water stagnation around homes and premises.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a bid to prevent the spread of dengue, the Mango Municipal Corporation has launched an intensive anti-larva spraying drive across various localities.

The Additional Municipal Commissioner has directed daily anti-larva spraying and fogging to control the mosquito population.

Spraying and fogging activities have been carried out in several areas, including Old Purulia Road and Dimna Road.

The officials have appealed to residents not to allow water to stagnate around their homes, including in tires, tanks, or any open spaces.

During an inspection in the Pardih area, a fine of ₹5,000 was imposed for water stagnation, which could lead to mosquito breeding.

The civic body has prepared a roster to ensure that anti-larva spraying and fogging are done daily.

"The public must cooperate by ensuring their premises are free from water accumulation," said a municipal official.

Municipal Manager Kunal Kumar Singh and other staff were present during these operations to oversee the activities.

Inspection and Enforcement Actions

To enforce dengue prevention measures, officials have intensified inspections and imposed fines in areas where mosquito breeding conditions are found.

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and adhere to guidelines to prevent dengue.
