E-Waste Disposal Campaign Launched At RMS High School

Sambhav Sanstha Installs Recycle Bin, Educates On Environmental Impact

A local NGO’s initiative aims to promote responsible e-waste management among students and staff at a Sonari school.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sambhav Sanstha, a local non-profit organization, launched an e-waste disposal campaign at RMS High School Balichela in Sonari, installing a dedicated recycle bin and educating the school community about proper electronic waste management.

Sarika Singh, President of Sambhav Sanstha, emphasized the growing prevalence of electronic devices and the environmental risks associated with improper e-waste disposal.

"Electronic gadgets contain harmful chemicals that can poison our environment and render land infertile if not disposed of correctly," Singh explained during the awareness session.

The campaign included educational talks for students and teachers, highlighting the importance of responsible e-waste management.

RMS High School Principal Pratibha Sinha welcomed the initiative, stating, "This program aligns perfectly with our goal of instilling environmental responsibility in our students."

Sanjay Kedia, representing the School Management, expressed support for the campaign, recognizing its potential long-term impact on the community.

The newly installed e-waste recycle bin aims to provide a convenient and safe disposal option for the school’s electronic waste.

Bharat Singh and Anjula Singh of Sambhav Sanstha were present at the event, along with P. Pushpalata, to oversee the bin’s installation and address queries.

The campaign encourages students, teachers, and staff to utilize the new facility for disposing of obsolete or damaged electronic items.

Organizers hope this initiative will spark a broader conversation about e-waste management in Jamshedpur and inspire similar programs in other schools.
