JNAC Plans Model Chhath Ghats Along Jamshedpur Rivers

Subarnarekha, Domuhani, Bhojpur Ghats to Get Special Makeover

Key Points:

  • Commissioner Krishna Kumar and City Manager Jyoti Punj paint ghats
  • NDRF teams to be deployed for devotee safety measures
  • Changing rooms planned at all river ghats for devotees

JAMSHEDPUR – JNAC has begun preparations to develop model Chhath ghats along major rivers in the city.

The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee initiated the work early. Several river ghats will receive special attention this year. However, the transformation process has already commenced across locations.

Subarnarekha river Chhath ghat will be developed as model facility. Domuhani river Chhath ghat is also included in the plan. Moreover, Bhojpur river Chhath ghat will undergo complete transformation.

The ghats are being decorated with attractive paintings. Artists are creating images of Lord Surya on the walls. Additionally, cleanliness symbols are being painted at various locations.

The artwork aims to enhance the devotional atmosphere significantly. Devotees will witness captivating visuals during the festival. Furthermore, the paintings will promote cleanliness awareness among visitors.

JNAC Commissioner Krishna Kumar personally joined the painting work. City Manager Jyoti Punj also participated in the artistic activity. Their involvement boosted the morale of working artists considerably.

The officials wielded paintbrushes alongside professional painters at the ghats. They demonstrated administrative commitment to festival preparations through their actions. On the other hand, artists felt encouraged by this gesture.

Comprehensive security arrangements are being planned for all river ghats. NDRF teams will be deployed at strategic locations. They will remain vigilant throughout the festival duration.

Changing rooms will be constructed at every river ghat. These facilities will provide privacy to devotees during the rituals. In addition, separate arrangements will be made for men and women.

The committee aims to ensure devotee comfort at all levels. No inconvenience should trouble the worshippers during the festival. Moreover, adequate amenities will be provided at each location.

The painting work showcases various traditional Chhath themes and motifs. Sunrise and sunset scenes are being depicted on ghat walls. However, environmental conservation messages are also being incorporated through art.

Local artists are contributing their skills to the beautification drive. They are working in shifts to complete the artwork timely. Furthermore, volunteers are assisting in the overall preparation work.

The model ghat concept reflects modern amenities with traditional values. Clean pathways will be maintained throughout the festival period. Additionally, proper lighting arrangements will illuminate the entire ghat area.

Medical facilities will be available near all major ghats. First aid teams will be stationed for emergency response. On the other hand, ambulances will remain on standby mode.

The initiative demonstrates JNAC’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage. Simultaneously, it ensures devotee safety and convenience remain paramount. Moreover, the model ghats will set new standards for future celebrations.
