Mango Flyover Construction Progresses with 26 Pillars Complete

Four-Lane Section Near Dimna Road to Ease Travel to Sakchi

Key Points:

  • Project worth Rs 252 crore includes 57 pillars for bridge and flyover
  • Special 120-foot girders to be manufactured at separate location
  • 3.4-kilometer structure features both four-lane and two-lane sections

JAMSHEDPUR – The construction of Mango’s ambitious flyover project has gained momentum with the completion of 26 pillars, while commuters face temporary traffic challenges.

The project incorporates advanced engineering features. “We’re implementing specialized construction techniques for durability,” explained a civil engineering expert.

Meanwhile, eight pillar caps have been installed. The remaining construction work continues at a steady pace.

Technical Specifications

The structure requires precise engineering. The 120-foot girders will be transported on special trailers.

Moreover, advanced cranes will assist installation. “The installation process demands careful precision,” noted a construction supervisor.

Traffic Management Plans

The two-lane section extends strategically. It will connect New Purulia Road near Payal Cinema to Marine Drive.

Furthermore, existing roads will remain operational. This ensures continuous traffic flow during construction.

Project Impact

The completed flyover promises smoother connectivity. It will particularly benefit Mango residents facing daily commuting challenges.

Additionally, the four-lane section near Blue Bells School will enhance access. The design prioritizes efficient traffic movement between Dimna Road and Sakchi.
