NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India’s rapid progress in railway modernization while inaugurating multiple rail projects across the country.

The PM experienced the ‘Namo Bharat’ train in Delhi-NCR yesterday. Transportation experts note this marks a significant milestone in urban mobility.

Railway Modernization

Recent high-speed train tests achieved 180 kmph speeds. Industry data shows a 200% increase in premium train services.

Furthermore, 136 Vande Bharat trains now operate on over 50 routes. Railway statistics indicate a 45% reduction in travel time on major routes.

Infrastructure Development

The new Jammu Railway Division will connect 742.1 km of tracks. Regional development studies predict a 30% boost in local connectivity.

Additionally, the Charlapalli Terminal in Telangana, built for Rs 413 crore, aims to decongest major stations. Urban planning experts forecast 40% reduced station congestion.

Future Outlook

Modi outlined four development parameters for railways. Recent surveys show 60% passengers prefer high-speed rail options.

Moreover, the new Raygada Railway Division will enhance East Coast connectivity. Economic analysts predict 25% growth in regional trade.
