CRPF Camp Incident Claims Life of Havildar Nandkishore Singh

DHANBAD – Jharkhand Police Havildar Nandkishore Singh, stationed at the CRPF camp in Tundi under Dhanbad district, succumbed to a gunshot wound on Monday morning. The incident occurred while he was reportedly cleaning his rifle, and the gun accidentally discharged.
Fatal Accident During Routine Task
The gunshot was heard at the CRPF camp, prompting personnel to rush to the scene. Havildar Nandkishore Singh was found critically injured and was immediately taken to SNMMCH hospital in Dhanbad. However, he succumbed to his injuries en route.
City SP Ajit Kumar and Sarai Dhala Police Station In-Charge Nutan Modi, along with representatives from the police association, reached the hospital to assess the situation. “The death resulted from a gunshot, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances,” said SP Ajit Kumar.
Victim Identified
The deceased, Nandkishore Singh, hailed from Palamu and was posted at the Tundi police station’s CRPF camp. The police are probing whether the shooting was accidental or if other factors were involved. Singh’s death has left his colleagues and family in deep shock.
