MEDININAGAR – The Village Festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Birsa Nagar on Friday, with a large gathering of Christian faithful participating in prayers and cultural activities.

The event, attended by Palamu Diocese Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas as the chief guest, featured traditional liturgical ceremonies.

Bishop Mascarenhas led the Holy Mass, accompanied by local priests, during which he stressed the importance of love, unity, and service for societal progress and state development.

Marking Jharkhand’s 24th Foundation Day, Bishop Mascarenhas noted that collective participation is essential for the state’s holistic growth.

He urged the faithful to foster a spirit of love and service, emphasizing that hatred benefits no one, while collaboration and kindness uplift society.

He further encouraged attendees to follow Christ’s teachings by promoting unity, helping those in need, and teaching children discipline and moral values to build a better future.

The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program, including welcome and prayer songs performed by the congregation.

Other attendees included Father Amardeep Kerketta, Anish Khalko, and a large number of Christian faithful.
