Tata Steel Announces 5th Noamundi Run-a-thon for November 17

Event Aims to Promote Health, Wellness, and Environmental Awareness

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel is set to organize its fifth annual Run-a-thon at Noamundi on November 17, 2024.

The event will take place at the Sports Complex in Noamundi.

Moreover, it aims to promote health, wellness, and environmental awareness.

Atul Kumar Bhatnagar, General Manager (OMQ), announced the event at a press conference.

Furthermore, the Run-a-thon will feature various categories for different age groups.

"This event demonstrates our commitment to community wellness," Bhatnagar stated.

He added, "It also aligns with our environmental initiatives."

The event includes 10K and 7K runs for adults aged 15 and above.

Additionally, a 5K run is planned for participants under 16 years old.

A 2K run will cater to persons with special abilities.

Meanwhile, Tata Steel will plant a sapling for each registered runner.

The company expects around 5000 participants from across the country.

On the other hand, online registrations will open from October 18 to November 7.

Offline registrations will be available at the Noamundi Sports Complex.

In addition, the total prize money for various categories amounts to Rs 5,67,000.

Tata Steel has a long-standing commitment to sports promotion.

However, this event specifically targets local communities and national runners.

The Run-a-thon reflects Tata Steel’s century-long support for sports and fitness.
