Seat-sharing talks intensify as LJP-Ram Vilas eyes larger stake in coalition

RANCHI – Jharkhand’s political landscape heats up as NDA allies engage in intense seat-sharing talks for upcoming assembly elections.

The BJP is working to strengthen its partnerships within the NDA alliance.

Moreover, recent discussions between LJP chief Chirag Paswan and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma have been crucial.

Sources reveal that Paswan’s party is eyeing five specific constituencies.

However, the BJP has reportedly offered only one seat to LJP-Ram Vilas.

"We’re aiming for a fair representation within the coalition," a party insider stated.

Meanwhile, JDU is pushing to expand its current two-seat allocation in Jharkhand.

The party’s state president, Khiru Mahato, expressed readiness to contest 11 seats.

On the other hand, AJSU is expected to secure 10 seats in the alliance.

Negotiations continue as the BJP aims to contest 68 out of 81 seats.

Furthermore, final seat-sharing announcements await Paswan’s return from abroad.

In contrast, JDU’s demands highlight growing tensions within the alliance.
