RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren laid the foundation stone for a new 300-bed Apollo multi-specialty hospital in Ranchi’s Smart City complex.
The CM emphasized the government’s commitment to meeting people’s basic needs.
Moreover, Soren highlighted the importance of making healthcare accessible to all Jharkhand residents.
During the event, he also distributed keys to beneficiaries of the Islam Nagar Urban Housing Project.
Furthermore, Soren addressed the healthcare challenges exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CM stated that the government has since prioritized healthcare improvements.
On the other hand, Soren noted the state’s collaboration with world-class institutions like Apollo.
He mentioned the Azim Premji Foundation’s efforts to establish top-tier institutions nearby.
In addition, the government is supporting initiatives to open medical colleges and hospitals.
The new Apollo Hospital aims to reduce out-of-state medical travel for residents.
Meanwhile, this development is expected to ease the financial burden on poor families seeking quality healthcare.
Soren stressed that the hospital represents a significant step in improving the state’s healthcare system.
However, he acknowledged that Jharkhand faced challenges during the pandemic due to lack of medical infrastructure.
