Wire Division staff now eligible for TMH medical services

• Benefit extends to 620 employees and their families

• New medical cards with MR numbers being issued

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Wire Division employees and their families can now access medical services at Tata Main Hospital, marking a significant expansion of healthcare benefits.

Union President Rakeshwar Pandey announced that employees have started receiving their medical books.

The new arrangement grants Wire Division staff the same privileges as Tata Steel employees at TMH.

This benefit covers 620 employees and officers, along with their family members.

Eligible dependents include spouses, children, and parents.

In cases where both spouses are employees, husbands of female staff members are also covered.

The process of creating medical cards for family members is underway.

New medical cards with fresh MR numbers are being distributed to employees.

This development follows the merger of The Indian Steel and Wire Products Limited (ISWP) and its division JEMCO with Tata Steel on September 1.

Post-merger, Wire Division employees are gradually receiving benefits similar to Tata Steel staff.

Employees are eagerly awaiting news about the future of the ISWP hospital.

They are curious whether it will continue operations or be closed down.

Meanwhile, the integration process continues to unfold, bringing new changes for the workforce.
