• Adverse weather grounds helicopter, delays schedule

JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Jharkhand visit began with a cordial meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport.

The two leaders exchanged warm greetings upon Modi’s arrival on Sunday morning.

CM Soren presented the Prime Minister with a shawl and a bust of Gautam Buddha.

The gesture symbolized the amicable atmosphere between the central and state leadership.

Photos captured the moment, showing both leaders sharing a laugh and enjoying each other’s company.

Prime Minister Modi’s plane touched down at 9:05 am, coinciding with the Karma festival celebrations.

However, the day’s schedule faced an unexpected hurdle due to inclement weather.

The Air Force helicopter meant to fly Modi to Sonari Airport in Jamshedpur was grounded.

This unforeseen circumstance led to a delay of over two hours in the Prime Minister’s itinerary.

Despite the setback, the meeting between Modi and Soren remained positive and friendly.

"The weather may have been gloomy, but the mood was certainly bright," remarked a local official.

The cordial interaction between the two leaders sparked optimism among onlookers.

Many viewed it as a sign of potential cooperation between the state and central governments.

The gifting of the Buddha bust was seen as a nod to the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit continued in Jamshedpur, despite the delay.

Local authorities remained on standby, ready to welcome Modi upon his arrival.

The Karma festival celebrations added a festive backdrop to the high-profile visit.

As weather conditions improved, officials worked to adjust the day’s schedule accordingly.

The warm exchange between Modi and Soren set a positive tone for the Prime Minister’s visit to Jharkhand.
