Chief Minister Honors Nirmal Mahato on 37th Martyrdom Anniversary

Chief Minister Hemant Soren led tributes to Amar Shaheed Nirmal Mahato on his 37th martyrdom anniversary, honoring his crucial role in Jharkhand’s statehood movement.

Emotional Tribute Paid at Uliyan Samadhi Sthal

Jamshedpur’s Uliyan area witnessed a solemn gathering as Chief Minister Hemant Soren led tributes to Amar Shaheed Nirmal Mahato.

JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Hemant Soren commemorated the 37th martyrdom day of Amar Shaheed Nirmal Mahato at his samadhi sthal in Uliyan, Kadma.

The Chief Minister offered flowers at the memorial, joined by various dignitaries and members of the public.

Nirmal Mahato’s legacy as a key figure in Jharkhand’s statehood movement was honored during the event.

The samadhi sthal was adorned with floral tributes, drawing crowds to pay their respects.

Soren emphasized Mahato’s enduring impact on Jharkhand’s formation and development.

"Amar Shaheed Nirmal Mahato ji’s life exemplified dedication and the pursuit of justice," Soren stated in his address.

He urged attendees to continue working towards the ideals Mahato championed.

Local leaders and Mahato’s family members welcomed the Chief Minister to the site.

A moment of silence was observed to honor the martyr’s memory.

Several speakers recalled Mahato’s role in uniting communities for a common cause.

The importance of continuing Mahato’s mission of social justice was stressed by various dignitaries.

Mahato’s martyrdom in 1987 is considered a turning point in Jharkhand’s struggle for statehood.

His vision inspired many to join the movement, ultimately leading to Jharkhand’s formation in 2000.

Soren reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to upholding Mahato’s principles.

"We must ensure Jharkhand’s progress with justice and equality as our guiding principles," the Chief Minister added.

A floral tribute was also paid to Mahato’s statue at the location where he was assassinated in 1987.
