Rakhi Mela Dazzles Jamshedpur with Festive Offerings

Annual Exhibition Showcases Diverse Products, Empowers Women

Marwari Mahila Manch’s three-day Rakhi Mela at Tulsi Bhawan attracts crowds with 50 stalls featuring traditional and modern items.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) Jamshedpur branch has transformed Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur into a vibrant marketplace with its annual Rakhi Mela.

The three-day exhibition and sale event kicked off on Monday, drawing enthusiastic crowds to its eclectic array of stalls.

Visitors can explore the fair daily from 11 AM to 9 PM until its conclusion on Wednesday, July 24.

Senior MMM members Lata Agarwal, Manju Khandelwal, Prabha Padia, and Bina Khirwal inaugurated the event, setting a festive tone.

The fair boasts 50 diverse stalls, offering everything from traditional Rakhis to modern home decor items.

"This fair has been a cherished tradition for 35 years, aimed at empowering women," stated Rani Agarwal, the organization’s President.

Meena Agarwal, MMM’s Secretary, highlighted the event’s popularity, noting the enthusiastic response from day one.

Shoppers can find an extensive collection of gift items, bed sheets, and traditional attire for Laddu Gopal idols.

The fair also showcases handmade household essentials like pickles, papad, and mangodi at affordable prices.

Jamshedpur Block BDO Sudha Verma is scheduled to visit the fair as a guest on Tuesday at 5 PM.

Event host Saraswati Agarwal ensured a warm welcome for visitors, while Kanchan Khirwal delivered the vote of thanks.

The organizers emphasized the fair’s role in promoting women’s entrepreneurship and preserving cultural traditions.

Visitors praised the variety of products available, from festive decorations like bandhanwar to fashionable sarees and kurtis.

The event not only serves as a shopping destination but also as a platform for local artisans and women entrepreneurs.

As the fair continues, it promises to be a melting pot of tradition, creativity, and community spirit in Jamshedpur.
