NIT Jamshedpur Hosts National Workshop on Advances in Mineral Processing

Week-long training on iron ore and coal mineral processing concludes with insightful discussions and certificate distribution.

The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of NIT Jamshedpur concluded its week-long short-term training and national workshop on "Advances in Mineral Processing Techniques with Special Reference to Iron Ore and Coal (AMPTIC-24)" today.

JAMSHEDPUR – NIT Jamshedpur concluded its national workshop on "Advances in Mineral Processing Techniques with Special Reference to Iron Ore and Coal (AMPTIC-24)" with a ceremony attended by notable industry and academic figures.

The chief guest, Dr. Anoop Kumar, Head of Research and Development Services at Tata Steel Jamshedpur, shared his insights on the prudent use of iron and coal for societal betterment and emphasized their importance for future generations.

NIT Jamshedpur’s Deputy Director, Prof. Ram Vinay Sharma, proposed the development of innovative ideas and advancements in mineral processing techniques.

Prof. Chandra Shekhar Choudhary, Acting Head of the Department, shared his thoughts on the successful completion of the five-day workshop.

Feedback and Experiences

The workshop coordinator, Dr. Reena Sahu, expressed her thoughts and extended best wishes to all participants.

Feedback was collected from participants to improve future AMPTIC workshops, with insights shared on accommodation, food standards, and the effectiveness of course material distribution.

Certificate Distribution

Dr. Anoop Kumar and Prof. Ram Vinay Sharma distributed participation certificates to all attendees.
