Scout Volunteers Offer Refreshment Amidst Heatwave to Passengers
On Labor Day, the Tatanagar branch of the Bharat Scouts and Guides initiated a free drinking water service at Tatanagar railway station, addressing the critical need for hydration during the intense heat.
JAMSHEDPUR – In response to the dire conditions of the heatwave, Scout and Guide volunteers have taken proactive steps to ensure passengers remain hydrated.
Recognizing the severe risks associated with dehydration, such as heat stroke, the local Scout and Guide group has facilitated a crucial water distribution initiative at the station.
AC Rao, the Director of Tatanagar Station, commanded the implementation of this community service program.
A total of 25 members, including 20 scouts and 5 leaders, participated actively, traveling through the train’s compartments to deliver water, especially to families with young children.
This effort not only provided relief to the travelers but also underscored the importance of community service in times of need.
