JAMSHEDPUR – A fire in a puncture shop near a transformer in Mango, Jamshedpur, was swiftly controlled, preventing a major accident amid inflammable materials.

The incident, confined to a single shop filled with tires and inflammable items, could have led to a larger disaster if not for the prompt action of firefighters.

The fire, believed to be caused by a short circuit next to the shop, filled the area with black smoke but was quickly contained, sparing nearby shops.

Relief spread as the fire, situated dangerously close to an electricity transformer, was extinguished before causing broader damage.

The recent fire recall at Dimna Chowk, Mango, which raged for over three days, underscores the critical need for fire safety vigilance, which had momentarily lapsed.

Efforts to bolster fire safety measures had been intensified following a previous major incident, highlighting the ongoing challenges in preventing such fires.
