Jamshedpur Panchayats Demand Development on Railway Land

Rural Leaders Urge Action on Stalled Projects in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur block panchayats call for development initiatives on railway-owned land, citing delayed projects.

JAMSHEDPUR – Representatives from 13 panchayats including Bagbera and Govindpur expressed their dissatisfaction.

They highlighted the stagnation of development due to restrictions on railway land.

Led by Sunil Gupta, the group plans to present a demand letter to local authorities.

The letter outlines five key demands for resuming panchayat-level development.

Projects like Anganwadi constructions and road works have been notably affected.

Gupta warned of a protest outside the Railway office if demands are not met.

The railway administration has been accused of blocking local development.

Issues like garbage collection have been neglected, raising health concerns.

The demand letter was signed by various panchayat representatives.

Block Development Officer Sudha Verma has promised to seek a resolution.
