Ranchi – Abhishek Prasad, known as Pintu, the press advisor to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, was one of three persons called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday in connection with the illegal mining case in Sahibganj, Jharkhand.
In this, Abhishek Prasad, also known as Pintu, the press advisor to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, was summoned to the ED regional office on January 16 for questioning.
On January 11 and January 15, respectively, Sahibganj Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav and Vinod Singh were called for interrogation.
The ED team had previously conducted raids at 12 sites in the Sahibganj district on January 3 in relation to an illegal mining case. During this time, cash, documents, records, and other questionable digital devices were retrieved by ED.
Recovery of Rs 36.99 lakh, comprising Rs 7.25 lakh, was made from Sahibganj DC Ram Niwas Yadav’s camp office.
In addition, five empty handgun shells, two.380 mm cartridges, and nine nine mm cartridges were found inside DC Ram Niwas Yadav of Sahibganj’s residential property.
Thirty benami bank accounts were also reportedly found and frozen during the search.
