Babulal Marandi Calls for Legal Action Against CM Soren

BJP State President Babulal Marandi demands immediate legal action by ED against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren over corruption allegations.

BJP leader Babulal Marandi urges ED to take legal action against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, citing repeated evasion of ED summons amid corruption charges.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant political development, BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has openly called for immediate legal action against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Speaking to the media in Chaibasa on Saturday, Marandi targeted the state government, stressing the urgency of legal proceedings by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

He criticized the Chief Minister for repeatedly ignoring the ED’s summons, which were issued not once but five times, relating to allegations of corruption in the state.

Marandi expressed concern over the message this sends to the public, questioning the rule of law when the state’s Chief Minister himself fails to adhere to legal procedures.

The former Chief Minister highlighted the risk of public faith in the legal system eroding due to the ongoing situation.

He emphasized that there was no further justification for issuing additional summons to CM Soren.

Marandi demanded that the ED, exercising its constitutional rights, should ensure that appropriate legal action is taken against CM Hemant Soren.

This development marks a critical point in Jharkhand’s political landscape, potentially impacting the state’s governance and public trust in the legal system.
