Kolhan Commissioner Urges Development Boost in Remote Areas

In a review meeting, Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar emphasizes on the need for enhancing development in remote regions.

JAMSHEDPUR – During a review meeting presided over by the Divisional Commissioner of Kolhan, Manoj Kumar, a thorough examination of ongoing development schemes and projects within the division took place.

This meeting was convened in the Collectorate Auditorium of the West Singhbhum district on Wednesday.

In the session, the commissioner evaluated progress in West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan, seeking detailed reports on the current status of each project.

Further, the extent of adherence to directives issued by the commissioner in previous meetings was scrutinized.

Particular directives were given to the Electricity Supply Division of Seraikela, with a call for reliable power delivery and rapid resolution of related issues.

Updates on development activities in Naxal-affected regions were discussed with departmental officers.

Manoj Kumar urged that the administration and law enforcement establish strong collaboration in Naxal-affected zones. He highlighted the need for providing basic amenities and ensuring the integration of remote village inhabitants into mainstream society.

Throughout the meeting, the commissioner underscored the critical role of infrastructure – roads, electricity, clean drinking water, and mobile connectivity – particularly in remote areas.

Kumar urged officers to be proactive, visiting sites in person and ensuring plans materialize at the grassroots level.

He issued specific orders aimed at eradicating drug use and superstition in society, with a special focus on maintaining vigilance in educational institutions and public spaces.

For residents of remote districts, unable to visit district headquarters, a Public Help Cell has been established to handle any complaints.
