A young man was shot and killed by unidentified assailants in Jamshedpur while he was on his way to a funeral, causing widespread shock and concern in the local community.
JAMSHEDPUR – A local youth was fatally shot in broad daylight in the Govindpur police station area of Jamshedpur.
The victim, identified as Ashwini Kumar, was on his way to a funeral in Sheshnagar when bike-borne assailants shot him near Khakripada SD School.
Kumar was hit in the shoulder by the bullet and was quickly transported to Tata Motors Hospital by locals who witnessed the incident. Unfortunately, despite the immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a local youth was behind the attack. According to sources, Kumar had been involved in a dispute with this individual over the past few days.
The police are currently investigating the matter further. The incident has sparked a wave of shock and fear in the local community.
