JAMSHEDPUR – A heart-rending train accident recently unfolded in Balasore, Odisha, leading to around 300 deaths and injuring over 1000 passengers.
The incident sent shockwaves across the world.
To pay tributes to the victims of this tragic event, the Congress Cooperative Department in Jamshedpur organized a candlelight march, paying tribute to the departed souls.
The solemn event took place in front of Sakchi Palang Market under the leadership of Chinna Rao, who is the District President of the Cooperative Department.
Attendees took part in a two-minute silence, praying for peace for the souls of the deceased.
In his address, Chinna Rao stressed the need for the government to learn from such incidents, emphasizing the importance of measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
