Jamshedpur Hosts Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s Snan Utsav; Prominent Politicians and Devotees Participate in the Rituals.
JAMSHEDPUR – Snan Utsav, or the bathing festival of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, traditionally held in Puri Dham, was celebrated in Jamshedpur too by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

Devotees gathered to bathe Mahaprabhu in special medicinal water, marking the beginning of a ritual period leading up to the Rath Yatra.
During this time, the deity will remain in an indisposed condition, receiving regular bathing rites from the priests.
Today’s special occasion allowed all devotees, without discrimination, to bathe the Lord.
Over the next fortnight, special puja will be offered, culminating in Mahaprabhu’s recovery on the day of Rath Yatra, when he is placed back onto the chariot to bless his devotees.
Prominent attendees at the Snan Utsav in Jamshedpur included Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, BJP MLA Amar Bauri, and Congress District President Anand Bihari Dubey.
As the congregation participated in the rituals, chants of ‘Jai Jagannath’ filled the air.
