Urban Development and Housing Department Inspects Birsanagar PM Housing Project Underway in Jamshedpur

Experts survey the progress of 9592-unit affordable housing project in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

JAMSHEDPUR – Under the supervision of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, an affordable housing project in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur, is making significant strides.

This initiative, part of component-3 of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), plans to construct a total of 9592 houses. To date, construction of 7372 homes has commenced.

Officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department, including experts Rajan Kumar, Mukesh Kumar Jha, and Deepak Kumar, carried out an inspection of the project site.

Joined by the special officer of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Sanjay Kumar, they evaluated the physical progress of the development, interacting with JUDCO and other workers on-site.

The inspection served as an opportunity to motivate the workers, urging them to maintain the project’s momentum and deliver high-quality construction.

The experts stressed the importance of adhering to safety standards throughout the construction process, and underscored the necessity of timely completion to ensure the smooth delivery of installments to beneficiaries.

Others present at the inspection included the Nodal Officer of Housing Scheme, Rahul Kumar, Town Planner Deepak Majhi, Finance Expert Sarita Kumari, JUDCO DGM Santosh Choubey, and Project Manager Dhananjay Kumar.

The collective presence of these officials underlines the commitment to this project, which promises to provide much-needed affordable housing in the region.
