Srinagar: Army and police are on alert mode after receiving information about suspicious activities in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.

Security forces cordoned off the area on Wednesday morning and are conducting a search operation. Two schools in the city have also been closed.

According to sources, some local people had seen suspicious activities of armed men in Poonch town. On receiving this information, the security forces started siege and search operation in Poonch’s Khakha Nawan, Old Poonch and Jarnali Mohalla.
