Jamshedpur: Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services at Tata Steel, opened the circular road around Jayanti Sarovar in Jubilee Park for morning walkers on Monday.

The road will be open from 5.00 AM to 9.00 AM daily.

The development is part of a larger masterplan to create a non-vehicular zone inside Jubilee Park.

This will benefit citizens engaging in fitness activities like walking, jogging, cycling, bird watching, and enjoying the lush green surroundings of the lake.

Attending the event were Pranay Sinha, Chief Corporate Services at Tata Steel Jamshedpur, Rituraj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities & Infrastructure Services Limited, and other senior company officials.

Company sources said that as part of the overall masterplan, one of the objectives was to create a non-vehicular zone inside Jubilee Park.

Earlier, the pedestrian walkway was allowed only up to the old gate of the Zoo.

The new infrastructure developments in and around the Zoo by Tata Steel were planned in a manner to extend this walkway all around the Jayanti Sarovar.

The company officials said that this development is especially beneficial for those who enjoy morning walks since it will be free from traffic now.
