Shahbaz hints at likely talks with Imran Khan

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has hinted at talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan. He indicated this in a press conference on Monday after Imran’s threat. This was reported by Pakistani newspapers.

Shahbaz said, we can take a hundred steps forward for the country. For this all differences can be kept aside. When the country is facing such a crisis, we have to make sacrifices.

He said that Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar recently met PTI President Arif Alvi with his permission.

Pakistan’s media termed PTI President Alvi’s meeting with Finance Minister Dar as part of the ruling coalition’s efforts to create communication channels with former Prime Minister Imran.

Pakistan is in a political crisis since the beginning of this year. Basically, after Imran Khan was removed from the post of Prime Minister, this crisis has multiplied and due to the intransigent position of the country’s controversial leadership, the path to solving the crisis is becoming very difficult.

In this situation, Imran threatened to dissolve the assemblies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces if the general election date is not announced by December 20. After this, Shahbaz said that he agreed to talk with Imran.

Shahbaz made explosive comments calling Imran Khan ‘self-centered’ and ‘deceitful’ despite talks.

He said, I want to tell the people, this person (Imran Khan) is a fraud; Who has nothing to do with the future of the nation. He is a very egotistical person who only cares about his personal interests and he will stoop to any level for his interests.

An article published in a prominent newspaper charged Imran Khan with spending donations collected for Shaukat Khanum Hospital on his own politics.
