Chakradharpur: Suspected Naxalites shot dead a youth near Sonamara village under Toklo police station area in West Singhbhum on Friday, sources said.
Police identified the deceased as Ravtan Purty of Kucharu village under Keraikela police station area.
West Singhbhum SP Indrajeet Mahatha said there was possibility of the incident being the handiwork of Naxalites.
Ravtan had set out of his house Thursday last. When he failed to return home late night, his family members started searching for him. They learnt about his murder next morning, sources said.
