ABVP Protests Jharkhand Competitive Examination Bill, Calls it Anti-Student

Student union ABVP protests Jharkhand Examination Bill by burning effigies, alleging the state government’s anti-student attitude.

JAMSHEDPUR – The monsoon session of Vidhan Sabha saw the Jharkhand Competitive Examination Bill being passed by the State Government and sent to the Governor, a move that sparked widespread outrage among students.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) expressed their opposition to the bill by burning the effigy of the State Government.

The demonstration began from Jamshedpur Workers College and proceeded to Mango Chowk.

The student leaders accused the state government of being anti-student.

The leaders highlighted incidents where students were subject to lathi charge and exploitation.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad burnt the effigy as a symbol of their indignation towards the state government and leveled severe anti-student allegations against it.

Their opposition to the Jharkhand Examination Bill is seen as a broader protest against the perceived anti-student policies of the state government.
