Crime surged in Jamshedpur as a young man was attacked with an axe and later subjected to gunfire in the Sonari police station area.

JAMSHEDPUR – Unrestrained criminals continue to terrorize the city of Jamshedpur, with daily incidents of violence.

The most recent case occurred in the Sonari police station area, where a young man was first assaulted with an axe and then subjected to gunfire.

It is reported that approximately three rounds of bullets were fired during the attack.

In the incident that unfolded on Saturday in Khuntadih, the victim, identified as Sunny Yadav, miraculously escaped with his life. According to Yadav, he has an ongoing dispute with Karan Gorai and Sumit Gorai, who he believes are responsible for the attack. He was at his shop in the Khutadih Hadiya Bhatti area when the assailants reportedly attacked him with an axe before resorting to gunfire as he tried to flee. Thankfully, none of the bullets struck him.

The incident caused panic in the local area. Upon receiving news of the incident, officers from the Sonari police station arrived on the scene and recovered two bullet casings.

Police are currently conducting raids to apprehend the assailants.
