RRR Centre marks a significant step towards achieving a clean and sustainable environment.
Jamshedpur – Tata Steel UISL has marked another achievement in their efforts towards Swachh Bharat Mission urban campaign “Meri Life Mera Swachh Shahar” with the opening of the RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Centre in Jamshedpur.
The centre is focused on promoting cleanliness and sustainability in line with the mission LiFE and has been opened in collaboration with the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).
The RRR Centre, situated in the CH Area, aims to promote the principles of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ among the city’s residents.
Its objective is to create awareness, inspire action, and encourage a collective sense of responsibility towards the environment.
The center will manage and handle solid waste, and through the process of segregation, the recyclable items will be separated and processed for reuse.
The opening ceremony of the RRR centre was graced by the Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, Ritu Raj Sinha, and the President of JSU, Raghunath Pandey.
Speaking on this occasion, Ritu Raj Sinha emphasized that the RRR Centre marks a significant step towards achieving a clean and sustainable environment.
He also stated that behavioral change communication should also be given to school children and a consistent effort by the communities and individuals would remain the key strategy to achieve the objectives of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
He suggested that the efforts made by children in their contributions should be rewarded by printing the Aadhar numbers on the e-certificates.”

An innovative mobile app has been designed to facilitate paperless work and provide instant e-certificates for contributory items in kilograms, along with the photographs of the donors.
The importance of this campaign lies in mobilising individuals towards choosing an Environmental conscious lifestyle.
This Campaign addresses challenges of on source segregation of waste into organic, recyclable, and hazardous categories.
It may be noted here that, to ensure maximum reach for citizens five main RRR centres and 24 satellite centres will be available to deposit used items, which will be handed over to stakeholders for reuse and recycling.
The centres will open daily from 7 AM to 1 PM and have been geotagged for ease of location and volunteer contact information.
