South Eastern Railway Enhances 7 Popular Routes with Additional Second-Class Coaches

JAMSHEDPUR – Indian Railways has expanded passenger capacity by adding general second-class coaches to popular Mail and Express trains nationwide.
The national carrier has undertaken a massive upgrade of its passenger services. Moreover, it has added 957 second-class coaches to 385 train pairs.
In addition, these changes affect 665 train rakes across the country. “This initiative makes rail travel more accessible and affordable for everyone,” stated a railway official.
South Eastern Zone Implementation
The South Eastern Railway has enhanced seven major routes. Furthermore, each route now features at least four general second-class coaches.
The upgraded trains include the prestigious Coromandel Express. Besides, the Howrah-Mumbai Mail has also received additional coaches.
Future Plans
Indian Railways continues to expand this initiative. Meanwhile, more busy routes are under consideration for similar upgrades.
The organization focuses on economically weaker sections. However, the benefits extend to all unreserved travelers.
On the other hand, passenger comfort remains a top priority. “We are committed to providing seamless travel experiences,” explained a senior railway source.
