Over 5,000 Devotees Expected to Join Cultural Celebration with Prasad Distribution

JAMSHEDPUR – The Sidgora Surya Temple Committee is set to host a grand kite festival on January 15, marking the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.

The event will take place at the Shankh Ground within the temple premises. Committee President Bhupendra Singh has invited youth from across the steel city to participate.

Cultural Heritage Celebration

The festival aims to promote the traditional art of kite flying. “This celebration represents our commitment to preserving our cultural heritage,” a committee member stated.

Moreover, special arrangements have been made for the ritualistic worship of Sun God. In addition, devotees will receive khichdi, chokha, and chutney as prasad.

Event Management Structure

The organizing team has assigned specific responsibilities to different members. Akhilesh Chowdhury, Shashikant Singh, and Ramesh Tiwari will manage the puja arrangements.

Meanwhile, Amarjeet Singh Raja and team will coordinate the kite festival activities. On the other hand, Bhupendra Singh’s group will handle prasad distribution.

Previous Year’s Success

Last year’s festival attracted over 4,000 participants from Jamshedpur and neighboring areas. Furthermore, the event has grown significantly since its inception in 2015.
