JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal reviewed feedback from nodal officers about their weekly panchayat inspection program targeting essential services.
The administration has established a systematic monitoring approach for rural development. Each nodal officer inspects one panchayat every Saturday to evaluate various facilities.
“We aim to ensure timely improvements in rural infrastructure,” said a senior district official. “Regular monitoring helps identify and address gaps in service delivery.”
Comprehensive Inspection Protocol
The DC has outlined specific Standard Operating Procedures for future inspections. Moreover, Block Development Officers must present detailed reports about government institutions in their areas.
Meanwhile, officials are required to inspect schools, anganwadis, and health centers during their visits. Additionally, they monitor the implementation of MGNREGA projects across different locations.
Development Initiatives
The administration plans to integrate Birsa Harit Gram Yojana beneficiaries with PM-KUSUM scheme. Furthermore, officials will promote drip irrigation systems among farmers.
On the other hand, strict action will be taken against PDS dealers found shortchanging beneficiaries. Besides, the administration aims to establish mini-bank branches in panchayat buildings to improve banking access.
