SERAIKELA – On Independence Day, former Chief Minister and State Minister Champai Soren hoisted the national flag at the historic Lord Birsa Munda temple in Saraikela.
Welcomed by the Deputy Commissioner and SP, Soren inspected the parade before addressing the crowd.
He extended his wishes for the 78th Independence Day and honored the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Soren highlighted the challenges Jharkhand faced post-separation but praised the current government’s efforts toward state prosperity.
He emphasized ongoing work in infrastructure, education, health, and irrigation, noting that the state is rapidly improving.
He also mentioned the significant industrial presence in Seraikela-Kharsawan, with plans in place to further elevate the district’s status.
Soren urged the people to contribute to making the district a leading one in the country.
He recalled his tenure as Chief Minister, noting that his government had swiftly planned for state development, focusing on uplifting tribals, Dalits, youth, and the unemployed.
Soren concluded by wishing the district’s residents a happy Independence Day and encouraging them to work together to overcome challenges and improve the region.
