A grand Kanwar Yatra was organized by the Sakchi Shiv Temple Committee, with over 1,000 devotees participating and offering prayers at the Sakchi Shiv Temple.
In a display of devotion during the holy month of Sawan, more than 1,000 kanwariyas participated in a Kanwar Yatra organized by the Sakchi Shiv Temple Committee. The yatra began at Swarnarekha River in Mango and concluded at the Sakchi Shiv Temple, where devotees performed Jalabhishek.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Sunday morning, during the auspicious month of Sawan, the Sakchi Shiv Temple Committee organized a grand Kanwar Yatra, which saw the participation of over 1,000 devotees.
The kanwariyas, carrying water from the Swarnarekha River in Mango, undertook a 2.5-kilometer journey to the Sakchi Shiv Temple.
Once there, they lined up to perform Jalabhishek on the Shivling.
The event was graced by the presence of Health Minister Banna Gupta and his wife Sudha Gupta, who participated as special guests.
At the Swarnarekha River, Sudha and Banna Gupta performed a special ritual known as Sankalp Puja, under the guidance of Pandit Mohan Lal Sharma and four other priests.
Members of the temple committee were also involved in the ritual.
The devotees filled the air with chants of "Bol Bam," creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere throughout the area.
A special attraction of the Kanwar Yatra was the tableau depicting Lord Shiva and his family, along with representations of spirits and ghosts, which captivated the onlookers.
After the Maha Aarti at the Sakchi Shiv Temple, all the devotees were offered prasad.
