Jharkhand Govt Celebrates 4 Years with Key Announcements

CM Soren’s Initiatives Mark Jharkhand Government’s 4th Anniversary

Chief Minister Hemant Soren announces significant welfare schemes, including a pension plan for ST and SC communities, at the 4th anniversary state function.

RANCHI – Under Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s leadership, Jharkhand’s government marked four years in office with a grand function at Ranchi’s Morabadi Maidan.

The Chief Minister unveiled a pension plan for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste persons, starting at age 50 under the Universal Pension Scheme.

Soren also promised to increase the commission for ration dealers soon.

Further, he announced the organization of annual camps in Panchayats to introduce new schemes directly to the people.

Over 12,000 youth have already benefited from the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, setting up their businesses.

Soren emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises and continuing efforts to progress the state.

He also highlighted the focus on empowering daughters with education and professional opportunities.

Reflecting on the past four years, Soren described the journey as challenging, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic and a drought, but noted the government’s 24/7 commitment to support the vulnerable.

He paid tribute to Jharkhand’s heroes who fought for water, forest, and land rights, and for the state’s separate identity.

The government, operating from village levels, has resolved issues through "Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar" camps, and this initiative will continue annually.

Soren addressed the neglect Jharkhand faced for two decades and the government’s efforts to prioritize people’s problems.

He contrasted the achievements of the last 20 years with those of his four-year tenure, including issuing 20 lakh green ration cards and 20 lakh Kisan Credit Cards.

To combat labor migration, the government focuses on local employment opportunities.

Quality education initiatives, like Schools of Excellence and financial aids, aim to uplift children, particularly girls.

The government has opened recruitment in various sectors and supports youth in self-employment ventures.

Schemes across various demographics, particularly for women’s empowerment, have been a priority, with Rs 8000 crore allocated to Sakhi Mandals.

Infrastructure development, especially road networks, and an enhanced electricity transmission and distribution system, are underway.

Soren expressed his vision for a self-reliant Jharkhand by 2025, emphasizing the youth’s role.

The event saw the presence of notable figures, including Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, multiple ministers, and other dignitaries.
