Jamshedpur DTO Seizes Vehicles, Acts on Illegal Parking

As part of an ongoing drive against illegal parking and road encroachment, Jamshedpur’s District Transport Officer seized several vehicles and issued strict orders to shopkeepers to prevent unnecessary road congestion.

JAMSHEDPUR – Late on Monday night, District Transport Officer (DTO) Dinesh Ranjan launched an investigation campaign, resulting in the seizure of three highways. The permit of one highway, loaded with chips, had expired, and the drivers of two other vehicles fled the scene. Both vehicles are now subject to blacklisting.

Seizures and Encroachment Issues

Along with the highway seizures, three other vehicles were confiscated in the Bistupur and Parsudih police station areas during the investigation. This action involved the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) and his team.

DTO Ranjan, ADM Law and Order Deepu Kumar, and JNAC initiated this drive in response to complaints about illegal parking on the road near Novelty in front of Bistupur Regal Chowk. Those encroaching on the roads were warned and action was taken to clear the obstructions.

Preventing Accidents and Ensuring Law and Order

DTO Dinesh Ranjan stated that illegal parking on roads increases the risk of accidents.

He warned that punitive action would be taken against vehicle operators if they were found to be contributing to this issue.

In another measure, the team took action against road encroachment by shopkeepers in Khadangjhar Chowk of Telco Colony.

Shopkeepers were instructed to limit their shops to the designated areas and refrain from expanding onto the road. Furthermore, action was taken against illegal construction work near Bhuneshwari temple by Telco.
